I have recently booked my family's first trip to Disney in Sept. I originally booked the week after Christmas, however; from reading all the posts about the crowds I chickened out and decided I could deal with the Sept. heat since I live in MS and be able to enjoy lower crowds. I did so want to see the Christmas Decorations though. Maybe after this Sept. trip my hubby will love it so much we can go back in the future and see the Christmas decorations.

:welcome::welcome: Ok. well if you want to see the christmas lights and all that jazz I have the perfect plan for you! Our family wanted the same so we went in late November and got to see all the lights and there were no lines at anything and we also got to enjoy Mickey Very Merry christmas party!

I think September is alot better for a first time visit. The Christmas lights and decor are unbelievable but being cold in Disney (we've been there) is not alot of fun. This past first week of December we were there and temps were terrible....I want to lounge at the pool and enjoy the Florida sunshine. We're going back to the Sept/Oct months for vacations, plus everyone and their brother was there at that time....too crowded.

Enjoy your September trip....pool time is important and it's great to break from the parks...relax at the pool, have a picnic lunch and a few drinks...

welcome we want to go back around sept too, school schedules make it a pain to plan any time other than summer for us.

Hi,
I think September is the best time to go. We have been there just after Labor day for a week and the third week. This year we are going the last week of September and the first week of October:woohoo: ( I have wanted to stay for 2 weeks as 7 days never seem long enough) I have gotten very spoiled with ride wait times by going during September. We went The first week of January once and were grumbling that the wait would be 45 -60 minutes compared to the 10-15 minutes we were use to. We did get to see the Christmas decorations while we were there in January. We also saw the life guards wearing what looked like ski wear as the temps were 25-30 degrees the week we were there.:cold:
Enjoy your trip

congrats.:) sept is a great time to go. once my family went in december and it snowed! (we are from Canada so we expected to get AWAY from the snow:laughing:) although the party is realy great, what time in sept. are you going? you may be able to attend the MNSSHP in MK which is reallly fun. every one dresses up and you collect candy + chocolate:cheer2: as long as you can handle the heat, so should have lots of fun!!:thumbsup2
