New Me by New Year FINAL check-in 01/01/04!!

I am down another 1.4, so that puts me at 3.8/5.....changing my exercise routine has helped, so I think I might actually make this goal! Maybe I need to change the goal???!!!
 
I'm going to check in today because who knows what tomorrow has in store!

Well, I'm officially baffled by this whole Atkins thing! Up until this morning I hadn't lost one ounce despite doing everything by the book - I've cut out cheese and my daily sugar-free jello snack because I thought they were slowing me down, I'm still at induction levels and I've really stepped up the exercising. This morning I wanted to weigh in but was worried because I felt a bit "puffy" and bloated (not even TOM). Well, what do you know? I actually lost another 2 lbs. Whew, because I must tell you, I was thinking of throwing in my towel but now I'm back in the game.

So, count me as 16/20. I'm almost there and hoping I can get through the next few weeks (and tomorrow, of course) in one piece. I don't know if I'll be able to resist stuffing and potatoes tomorrow, but I'm sure going to try.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving (to our friends outside the U.S. - we are thankful for your friendship and ongoing WISH support, too!). I know that I have so much to be thankful for and hopefully by next T-day I'll be celebrating my new slim self!

Well I'm down another 1.4 lbs this morning. So that's 2.4/20. I'm not doing as well as I hoped, especially since people USUALLY lose a lot the first few weeks. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I'm holding water (TOM) but for 2 weeks? I'm happy with the loss and I know I'll get there eventually, but I don't know if I'll make my New Year's goal at this rate. And ya'll are doing so well! I feel like a loser compared to everyone else in this challenge!

Let's hope for a better loss next week!

Week Four Check-in 11/27 HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I see people have started to record there check-ins for this week already - great and glad to see you checking in!! Happy Thanksgiving to all celebrating today - hope you have a wonderful day with friends & family - don't be tough on yourself if you stray a little!! We are four weeks down - but still have aother five to hit our goals - go for it guys!!

jazyjewel - Welcome to the challenge - so glad you decided to join us - sorry you are in a stall right now - but I wish you the whoosh fairy to get started on your 15lb target for the challenge!!

AprilN - WOW - 3lb of you gone - how great is that & over half way on your goal for the challenge - that must feel good! Congratulations on doing so well!

tiggerlover - what a lot of proress to that goal well done and we still have 5 weeks left! You could up your goal when you reach it or you could see just how far over that goal you could get! Well done on another good week!

kasar - I know what you mean about the Atkins - I have had exactly the same experience often & the one where you are up a little on your weigh day. But if you like what you are eating & the weight is coming off slow & steady stick with it!! Another 2lbs - you have done fantastically 16 for the challenge gone already and with five weeks left even if your weight loss slows you should do it!!

disnygoof - so sorry you don't feel to be doing well - but each pound gone is progress and is leading to a fitter healthier you! Are you recording everything you eat & drink - that helps to keep me focussed and may give some clue if you are going off program somewhere? Try & drink as much water as you can possibly take in! Sending you PD & hope for a whoosh fairy visit!!

I got so excited talking to everyone else - I forgot to tell you how I did this week!! 1lb down - was hopping for more but slow & steady I am making progress! I am at 6/20 for the challenge - so I have some work to do in the next five weeks!

I hope I can do it, because I have a WDW trip in the middle there.

Well, I'm half-way there! Lost 3 lbs this week, so that puts me at 5.6 for this challenge!!! I only committed to 10 lbs because my loss seems to come in slow spurts, but at least I am encouraged that I could actually make it.

Good job to everyone this week for their progress - keep motivated through the end of the year and beyond!!!

Another 2lbs off for me this week - makes me 5/15.
 
I have had a short week (5 days) but I wanted to weigh myself and check in before we leave. Anyway I have lost another 2lbs. So that puts me a 12/20. Hopefully I won't be too far behind that when we get back!! Hope that you all have a successsful week. I will 'see' you all on the 16th :wave:
 
Hi, everyone. I want to jump into the challenge now that the Thanksgiving Day one is finished. I was 10/10 on that challenge, but over the vacation weekend I gained three (gulp) pounds!! I'm ready to get back on track!

My current weight is 180; my goal is to lose 10 lbs. and to be wearing my 20 lb. clippie by New Year's Day!

Here's to a new me in the new year. . .

Well before Thanksgiving I was at 180 but now I'm up to 182/183. I know I didn't eat well over the holidays - lots of eating with friends, family and then fast food while I was working at the mall. I'll definitely make some better choices this week and hopefully see those lbs come back off again.
 
I am down 4.5 this week. Only 10.5 more to go!!! Just wish me luck being strong at WDW this week :)

Sorry I have not really been around this week to see how everyone is doing - I have been thinking of you guys though!!

A1A1 - welcome to the challenge - the more the merrier!! Hope you can do the 9lb - even with the WDW trip! Most of us are using the challenge to help with added holiday temptations so we have something extra to focus on - I hope it helps you stick to program as much as possible on vacation to! Thanks for joining us!!

JenEeyore - another 3lbs - how great is that - you must feel so proud of yourself - very well done! Over half way to your goal - you can do it!!

AlisonB - another 2lbs - that is excellent - good for you! A third of the way to your goal for this challenge - keep going!!

jillwdw - 2lb up - never mind I bet the new week has gone much better! It was a holiday time & I do think at times it is important to just enjoy ourselves!! Don't feel too bad because I am sure you are right back on track now - the point of this challenge was that this was one of the toughest times of the year and I am sure almost all of us are going to have little slips. Thanks for checking in - I am sure it helps everyone to know they are not the only one who struggles and has ups and downs!!

catherine - sorry to have missed saying goodbye to you - well done on the 2lb!! I hope you are having fun right now - staying on program as much as you can - but having FUN!!!

Well, I am down 2lb again - which I am very pleased with mostly because I have made it to my 30lb clippie here on WISH - and boy that has felt a long and difficult way off at times!! I am finding staying on program really tough at the moment - with Christmas and family birthdays - including mine!! - fast approaching - but I really want to hang on to this clippie - so heres hoping for the best in the coming few weeks!!

How have you guys done - can't wait to hear!!

Could I ask you all to join me in a round of applause for the Whoosh Fairy?::yes:: She's just visited here and has helped me drop 4 lbs. in Thanksgiving water weight in the last few days. Way to go, W. Fairy!!!:p Now I have my 15 lb. clippie back!

Okay guys and gals - I'm not doing so well on this challenge and unless a miracle occurs, I'm not going to make my goal. So I'm going to re-set my goal (I know that's kind of cheating, but I set a really UNrealistic goal for myself, which I always do.) So I'm going to strive for 5 lbs by the end of this month. Is that okay? I'm so sorry - but if I keep my goal at what it is now, I'll feel awful at the end of the month when I don't make it. I'm going to also join the ONEderland by Spring Challenge which is definitely more doable for me.

I guess I did better over Thanksgiving than I realized at first, because I'm so happy to announce the disappearance of another 4 pounds this week. Woo-hoo! That puts me at 15/19 for the challenge.

I'm thinking about setting a new goal of 23 total pounds gone for this challenge, which will put me at 50 pounds total on WISH. Who knows, maybe I'll make it. :p 19 pounds is still definitely my primary goal, though.

Keep up all the great work, one and all!
 
Hey everyone! Life is crazy around here and I completely missed yesterday's check in. I am down 1/2 a pound which seems pretty good except for the fact that I was down 2 pounds a couple of days ago! I've been running the school's holiday fundraiser which has severely cut into my exercise schedule (not to mention my water schedule - can't be running to the ladies' room every 2 minutes!). So, I'm okay with this loss, hopefully next week will be better.

I had a planned cheat the other night. I went out with a bunch of ladies for a little pre-holiday party and I had a glass of wine and a slice of chocolate cake, yes, chocolate cake. It was WONDERFUL and I don't regret it for a minute. Back on induction......
