My fiance is moving in with me this weekend, and we get married on the 18th. We are looking into buying a new bed because mine is a queen sized and my fiance is very tall. Right now I have a sleep number. We're not going with another one due to the high cost and the stupid ridge in the middle.
We've looked at Sleep One and Mattress Firm. We liked the TempurPedic, but again, more than we are willing to spend on a mattress. The other type of mattressed we liked was the traditional inner spring with a latex topper. There are so many little details that seemed to drive the price. Does it really matter for comfort if the springs are individually wrapped? What about that support they put on the edge of the bed so that when you sit on the edge it doesn't go down? Is it worth the extra price?
We are looking at Costco as well. I like the price on their NovaForm, but I'm wondering how comfortable it is. I don't like that we can't lay down on it before buying to make sure it is right for us. I'm also looking at their innerspring mattresses as well and trying to figure out if it will really save us money since they don't sell their stuff as sets (no box springs included).
Final question: We will be intorducing his cat to the household. I have two cats and two dogs. Any suggestions on how to make the transition go smoothly?
