Yup, still pretty bumpy ... on both tracks.
Why doesn't Disney seem interested in addressing the #1 by far complaint regarding Matterhorn? A decade or so ago they tore out the track and rebuilt it in a major refurbishment...high hopes it would then be smooth....NOPE! Now this latest refurb got many all excited it would address the bone jarring bumpiness...once again nope.
What I heard is that Disney doesn't want to change it because of sentimental/historical (?) reasons, being that this was the first rollercoaster of its kind, and they want to retain that experience.
Of course, could be heresay, but that is what I was told.
To DisneytheKid, the Fantasyland side is smoother than the Tomorrowland side.
Never been to Disneyland - just took my first trip to WDW in January and was wondering if the Matterhorn is the same as or close to Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom. Considering Disneyland for our next Disney vacation.
