What exactly is going on with the new construction at the magic kingdom. I heard that they are brining bus stops over from the TTC. Then I hear that is going to be a hub where you can get buses to other parks.

From what I know and heard... New buses are the articulating type and since bigger and bend in the middle, need more turning room and space!!

The rumors suggest that both of these are true. The buses that run between MK and DHS and MK and AK, which currently stop at the TTC for the MK, are supposed to be moved to the new loop closer to the park. In addition, the new loop will provide room for the larger articulated buses.

The new articulated busses are longer so they won't fit in the current loading bays at the MK. That means they need more loading bays, hence the additional loop.

The turning radius of the busses may not be as great as expected. The reason they are "articulated" is to reduce the turning radius.

They are also beefing up the capacity of the bus system to handle all of the traffic expected from the new expansions and renovations taking place around the property in the coming years. They are expecting much more bus traffic thanks to Disney Springs. The articulated buses also require larger turning radius was, and by the looks of the current and previous testing, may require larger loops for turning. Although, they seems to be working in the current loops just fine.

Some of the new articulated buses do have a slightly larger turning radius, but it's only a problem at a few of the resorts. Of greater concern is the new buses' length. At locations with multiple load zones, the articulated bus makes it difficult for another bus to get into the load zone behind it. So during testing, they've only been used at the rearmost load zones.

The new Magic Kingdom load zones will be large enough to accommodate the articulated buses. They'll also be designed to allow loading through all three doors during peak periods.

Agreed. The DTD expansion should have no impact on the bussing at the parks since there are no direct busses between them. Unless they start charging to park at DTD, which I doubt, it should have no impact.
