New Logo?

There is a new logo for Fort Wilderness? Does anyone have a picture of it? I tried to look back through some of the existing threads but didn't see anything about this.

I don't even know if I consider this a "logo". To me it's more of a scene that is cute on t-shirts...but they do have it on license plates and car magnets too. The tire cover was still the same old design as of yesterday. Here is a pic of the shirts I purchased for my dd's. The thing that I didn't like about it was that the banner that say's "Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground" is VERY small! You really have to have a good look at the shirt before you notice where it is from!

There's some deep symbolism here. Paul Bunyon and Babe are there to represent the clearing of the unwanted vegetation at the Fort. Johnny Appleseed represents the replanting. I do see an illegal fire, not sure what that's there for. I think the ranger on the bridge represents Mean Gene and he's probably yelling at goofy and Humphrey for the fire. Those are Mickey's nephews in the canoe, Scott. Obviously after paying the rent on the canoe, Mickey and Minnie couldn't afford to get one themselves so they are eating some lunch obviously pilfered by the fleeing Max and Pete's son.

The indians show lack of historic accurracy, at least the chief from Peter Pan. He is wearing a Plains Indian headdress, which no Seminole would have worn. The little guy is chasing down some maize which is probably okay, but I'm not sure if the Seminole's grew maize or not. If he's with the old guy, then he would be a plains indian, too, and out of place, unless the came in the big Prevost just out of the picture. I'd like to know where all the duck weed is on the canal, too. Donald should not be in the tree,since ducks can't climb trees. Pluto would have his head in the basket, not sleeping next to it. I have no issue with the other wildlife present.

Sonya, the tye dye shirt is so cool! Did they have any other colorways?

I think that was the only color combo for the tye dye. I found it a bit odd that all of the colors were pastel though (great for kids, but not my thing). Even the adult shirts were yellow, light pink, light blue. Looked like Easter at the Fort!

I would love to have your take on Bambi, the ant w/ the watermelon, and there seems to be a small critter in the background between Max and his friend. Also, in the very foreground, is that Mr. Toad carrying something?

The thing in front is carrying a sandwich. I figured the ant could be carrying the watermelon, since ants can carry many times their own weight and this one may be the Arnold Schwarzenegger of the ant world.

Oh yes, I also meant to say that I am surprised at the portrayal of the Native Americans on this art work. I know Disney (and others) used to have a lot of cartoons where Native Americans were portrayed with these kind of exaggerated characteristics, but in this era of Political Correctness, I thought this type of stuff was off limits.

Mickey has to ditch the gun, but it is OK to perpetuate racial stereotypes?

I would not be surprised if this art work gets revised a little.

I swiped this photo from another thread (it was posted by Daddyscooltv-so credit goes to him) I believe it was taken by a cell phone, which explains its quality, but why is Meeko the raccoon on the license plate, but not on the shirt? Where is the ant and his watermelon? Also, looks like Chip and Dale are lifting a pie on the license plate, and the young native american boy is chasing something else?

I think it is too much. It is very busy. I love the mickey t-shirts because they are simple. It kinda reminds me of a holiday sweater from the 80's.

Interesting take on the Indian kids. I thought that it was not PC either to depict them anything but their own culture. I don't think they were at WDW dressed like that recently. Are any American Indians on this board. I would love to hear what you think.

First, I'm glad that this is not a new logo, but rather a new resort signature illustration. I hope that Walking Stick Mickey and the Diamond Fort are still in use as resort mascot and resort logo.

Second, I did notice that no one in the new illustration is wearing a coon-skin cap, which has been a staple of the resort. I wonder if the anti-fur lobby has more pull than the native-American lobby?! Personally, I much prefer the old plate with Mickey and gang in the motorhome being greeted by Chip & Dale... much cleaner and a larger presentation of the Fort Wilderness name.

Third, if you're gonna dig so deep as to put in Paul Bunyan and Johnny Appleseed, why no Brother Bear or Fox & Hound? Hell, everybody else is in there!

It's obviously a communist plot, aimed at disrupting the powerful dis camping board lobby. The inconsistancies between the license plate and shirt graphics were meant to be subliminal, causing angst among us. They were not counting on the cleverness and keen eye of our spy, Tri Circle D. These communists apparently underestimated the collective intelligence of us campers. It is meant to allow Disney to do the unthinkable like force us to pay for cable TV (which is nothing but Disney propaganda), remove the beloved cochina section of each site, and raise the cost of camping to an astronomic level with little resistance. In the spirit of Paul Revere, I am calling all campers to unite in the struggle against this Disney oppression and take over Fort Wilderness. Our rallying cry - KUNGALOOSH!
