New Log In at DVC Member Site?

I know the site has been down all day. They keep pushing back the time when it's supposed to up again, so I kept checking.

The last time I tried, I got a new screen CREATE A LOG-IN.

It says I should link my accounts. What accounts?

So I look down the page, and it's asking for my "club ID number" which seems to be my contract number.

Next to that it asks for my "Activation Code". The explanation for that says it's a one-time code given to me with my membership paperwork.

Now, we've been members since 1993 and have used the member site from whenever it was originally launched. I'm guessing at some point in the distant past I had gotten my "one-time activation code", but that was three houses, 5 contracts and half a lifetime ago. We've added on several times since then, but never got another "one time" code, and my account was always updated with the new contracts before w/o having to create a new log in.

And, not to seem like a fool asking this, but if its' a "one-time code" and I had it and used it years and years ago when I set up my member account, wouldn't that mean it's already been used once and is no longer any good?

Anyone else run into this today? I know the site has been down for renovations, and I even tried calling MS (which it says to do on this page with questions) but of course they are closed as well.

I'll be interested to see if this persists tomorrow and what I need to do to get back into my DVC member account when I reach MS tomorrow.

I'm guessing this is a temp thing because of the incomplete maintainance. I would not try to create a new account right now and risk messing up your good (offline) DVC account.

The message up right now is that the website is down for maintenance. This is actually funny because I logged onto the website around 4:00/4:30 pm EST today with no problem. MS is open until 7:30pm EST. You still have time to call. It's only 6:32 now.

Same thing just happened to me (and I saw red...posted about it in the other thread on this topic)...

Of course I tried to call MS, knowing they are closed. But since I really want to talk to Tech Support, not MS, I thought I might be able to get thru by calling CRO...so I did...while waiting on hold, I pulled up the DVCmember.com website again, and this time got "site is down for maintenance"...tried 3 more times and got "down for maintenance" each time...

Down for maintenance is a whole lot better than having to come up w/a "one-time activation code" from many years ago (worse for you than for me...mine's only 7 years old, not 20!--but I still have NO clue what it is/was!)...

Disney's IT is absurd...It's a serious black eye ... oh, well...hopefully when they're done w/their maintenance they will have fixed all the problems they caused while doing maintenance!??!

Good luck to all of us!

I'm sure tomorrow, or whenever it's back online, it'll be fine.

Nope, MS is not open. At least I just called and got "Member Services is closed" recording...and I called at 6:23...eastern time...

I called. The message said they were closed for the day and to call back tomorrow.

Whew...

All is well...website is back up; no one-time activation code required to sign in; reservation is there--

Scary moment, but all's well that ends well...

I've been trying to link my DVC account with myexperience and I keep getting the stupid page asking for activation code.

So I called DVC this morning and they gave me a club ID # and activation code and the activation code still doesn't work.
