Has anyone tried out Kidcot since Ziploc took over? Is it still just a glorified coloring station or did they make it more interesting? Taking my 4 year old kiddo there in September (first visit) and wanted to know if it was worth looking for the locations? Also, buy the passport for Kidcot in one of the Epcot gift shops or skip it? It was never something we did as kids and googling didn't turn up anything spectacular info wise. Would love to hear thoughts on kidcot in general and any news on what is offered now. All I've heard was "stickers". Stickers and bow ties are cool...but......

Thanks all! :)

We enjoyed collecting a set Sunday and we are adults!lol

You could tell Disney put a lot of time into "tying" the sticker and both sides of the card into the same Theme.

The Postcard you get at the "end" is a really cool touch.:)

LOL Hey, no shame in that at all. I saw a video the other day on Agent P's and wished I had a second Epcot Day because I would be doing that for sure!

This trip for us is Epcot Centered, (during food and wine) so I am glad that you asked this question, as it is one I was going to ask myself. My kids 10 and 6 barely remember the old one, so hoping the new one is Better. LOL

LOL glad my query came at a mutually beneficial time! ;) Last time I was in Epcot was pre-kiddo so I never even knew it existed until I started planning and saving. (Pretty much the day I found out I was preggers. LOL) The Duffy thing looked cute...but not necessarily something that would keep the kiddo engaged if all it was going to be was coloring the same thing over and over? So when news of the tweak came my curiosity was piqued. I used to love EPCOT as a kid, but I was always taken with the notion of far off places and travel. Will be interested to see if World Showcase sparks something similar in my little.

As for food and wine...super excited about that too! -drool-

I always loved Epcot as a kid too! I am really hoping that my kids are as fascinated by it as I was! We are staying right next door at Beach club, so I am hoping having the quick access to world showcase will pique there interest a little bit extra.

Ohhhh, that will be nice! I only stayed at the Beach Club once. Years and years ago. 21 years ago, methinks. Was 16 at the time. Good Lord, I am getting old. LOL Back when the Big Red Boat existed before Disney had its own cruise line and they shared an old ship with Looney Tune characters. Ended up getting food poisoning from breakfast on the last day on the ship and remember spending two Disney Days stuck in the hotel room with a VERY angry belly. But the rooms were gorgeous even back then and that pool! WOW! Would love to stay there again some day.

@Grapicosoda - If you haven’t already done so, check out the Beach Club dedicated thread on the Resorts forum...very friendly people and lots of “insider” info!

During Food & Wine, there is also Remy’s Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt through all the countries, which is also pretty fun.

Oh, yeah! Totally forgot about that! Will have to look into it. Thanks for the reminder!!

Oh those are adorable!! My niece will LOVE being able to take the cards home and color them. And I'm sure she'll spend time shuffling through them often, pretending, organizing, etc. Ha!

Where do you pick up the postcard?

Oh these are great!!! I'm actually excited about this change. Should be easy to tote around, and I'm thinking the cards can be laminated to save! Thanks for sharing.

Where do you pick up the postcard?
At any of the Kidcot locations-you are "supposed" to collect all 11 Cards FIRST before asking for the Postcard, but I don't think many,if any, of the CMs are making Guests produce all 11 Cards-it is on the "Honor System".

The Poastcard is "themed" as a "sign of completiton" of a Guest's travels to all 11 Countries.:)

Actually both. Still just a glorified coloring station. And it seems more interesting than before.
