New Keurig - Complete Budget Buster?

we ended up with a keurig from hubby's cousin after she had a problem with it. they sent her a new one but before that they made her send them the insert back only not the machine.. so she said we could have it but we would have to buy the insert. Of course dh went right to ebay and bought one for like $30 and bought the one you can brew your own coffee in also and he loves it... Not sure what her issue was with it but I find it to mess up at times when I hit the larger cup and it only pours a half a cup.. other than that its fine 9 times out of 10.. I do find it annoyingly loud in the morning also..
