Please help me and DH settle a little arguement.

We are from Canada but go to New Jersey at least once a year for a little beach vacation, usually Wildwood because the kids really enjoy it.

This year, DH says he wants to go the end of May because he wants to save money. I say it will be way too cold to swim in the ocean at that time. He says it will be perfect weather to swim.

Who's right?

You are right. Definitely.

Absolutely too cold! Don't do it unless you're a polar bear!!! :teeth:

Your right. Just tell him there would be far to much shrinkage for him to go to the beach.

PS. for the record my DW is from NJ (Avalon) not me. I grew up on the North Shore...of Ohio. It would be too cold there also.

Shrinkage! It'd be invisable!

Another foremer Jew Jersey resident. Too cold isn't the word for it! Wait until US Labor Day if you want to get lower rates and have it still warm. The weekend after Labor Day has still warm weather, low crowds, and warm water.

Tell him to go take a dip in Lake Simcoe. Today. That's what it will feel like in May.

I go to the Jersey shore every summer and won't even go into the water til July!

It would be waaay too cold for me.

Spent my summers on the Jersey shore - didn't set foot in the ocean until at least July 4.

Grew up on the Jersey Shore. Tood cold. We swam then but we didn;t know better! LOL Cold water was all we knew!

Don't you all remember the saying, "Its better in September"? September is a great month to visit the Jersey Shore!

Way to cold, your right! :teeth: You should have bet him some $$$$$$$!! :lmao: :lmao:

Go in September, the rates are much cheaper and the water is perfect.
