New ipod touch 4th generation 8 GB, or a 2nd or 3rd generation

We have a 3rd 8gb and a 4th 8gb. The 4th is my 9YOs. It is SO MUCH more awesome than the 3rd generation. He only got it because I left his 3rd on the Magic and it wasn't found, so I had to replace it. DH and I have iPhone 4's, so we can Facetime him when we're out and check up on the kids.

I'd get the 3rd 32GB for a ten year old. DD16 has had the 2nd 16GB for a few years - it is "lost" (I think in her room somewhere) but for Chirstmas I am getting her the new 4th 32GB. I don't see the need to have the extra 32GB for $100 but the 32GB will hold a LOT of music and some movies/TV shows. I think that's a good middle ground.

The new ipod as it has the camera and so many apps/features pertain to that. My DS has one and loves it so much more than his previous 2nd generation. DD, 15, will be getting a 32 gb 4th generation for Christmas.
