New Information On Turnstile Credit Payer

Look at the top and you will see it spells "TOCPE" or Epcot spelt backwards. This will really help those trying to build virtual parks! But also allows players to charge for room access. I'm guessing these will be about half the price of the Quest Kiosk. (Note the ones in the ride rooms do not charge credits)

It seems perfect for things like rides, and greedy people. I would never use one, but I'd have one.

If the owner can change the amount of admission charge, it seems to me one or both of two things will happen..

1. Greedy Players will charge extremely high amounts for admission.. especially the newbies with their "free stuff" and "boy meet girl" rooms at the top of the guest room list.

2. We will have a new way to "trade" credits..

To me, not only is that Epcot spelled backwards, it looks like the actual Epcot logo (aka the one on the park map, with the "c" sort of grasping the globe-shaped "o").

Who knows, maybe they will just serve as a turnstile and not take credits away after all; either that or it's a set amount that players can't change, like 5 credits for example. I have a hard time believing VMK would set up something that would lead to mass extortion schemes. Although it wouldn't be the first time something wasn't planned/designed well (these door things in the rooms come to mind ).

If players could see the charge before walking through it and giving me the credits, I might try placing one or more in my quest room when the quests are closed so that those who come to my room when it says closed in the title and then go to check on the kiosks that are not lit up would be charged a bunch of credits when they come in and bother me. When the quests are open I would remove the turnstyle or make the charge to walk into my room a lot less or even nothing.

Haha its great for the Do not enter rooms while building for my ride event I will put it high so if some person comes in they have to pay

It probably reads correctly when you rotate it (like the "D" on the turnstiles).

Instead of putting "Do Not Enter or I will boot" in the room description, can we say "Do Not Enter or you will pay through the nose" instead?

I am not sure what ramifications of charging for various rooms might have. I am sure they have thought it though at VMK and are aware of the pitfalls. My guess is (and I understand what your saying about trying to keep people out) have a charging gate in any of the following situations might be bad. If the room says Free and they are charging or if a quest machine exists in the room especially if operational i think you would be opening up possibliity of being banned. Also i think charging to get in the room and then booting could be an ethical issue, as well as pay to play pay too stay. Seems paying once should be enough to stay for the game, It is even possible, we might not get the part. Could be staff only, Will they now charge for events? all curious things. We may all only be able to get one. My guess is it is not tradeable and costs a little bit if sold. I have a feeling there are people that feel they are popular enough to charge people to come see them and all their stuff. Look for rooms like such and such is here or come see this new item. Oh what fun a charging device might be.
