Greg (yellow Wiggle) just posted on the Wiggles message board. I thought I would post this here so you can prepare your children.

Dear All, Sorry to say....

it is with regret that I must let you know that I have to leave the tour due to illness. In the past two days, I have experienced symptoms in my health which have caused me concern. I was hospitalised yesterday, and doctors could not find anything medically wrong with me, and again today I am still experiencing the same symptoms.

I have had numerous bouts of this over the past 8 months, but they are getting more frequent, and more concerning, so I have decided that I must go home, rest and seek further medical advice (if appropriate) to assure myself that I will be okay for future tours.

It would appear from some medical opinions that I did not give myself enough time to recover from my recent hernia surgeries before coming back to touring. Whilst I have been feeling fine on tour, when I get home, I usually fall flat, and suffer from severe exhaustion. Yesterday, it hit me very quckly, and very hard, and prevented me from performing, and that was the case today as well.

Please forgive me for my illness at the moment, and understand that I wish to take all steps possible to ensure that I am back on deck as soon as possible so that I can continue touring without frequent interruptions.

In the meantime, Sam Moran will be filling in for me. He does a fantastic job, and everyone that has seen Sam perform in my place has had nothing but commendation for him.

To everyone that has come to see the Wiggles in the past 12 months, I know that there have been many instances where I have not been there, but thank you for understanding and thank you for your support and your attendance at our concerts.

I look forward to wiggling with you all again very soon,

Greg Wiggle

We have tickets for this friday night in Charlotte. My 3 year old is gonna be disappointed as she loves Greg!

Oh well, hope he recovers quickly! :thumbsup2

Oh, I hope he'll be okay. My DD has outgrown the Wiggles but we watched them from the launch of the show for the first couple of seasons. I'm just happy he's playing it smart and taking what sounds like a very much deserved break!

Sam Moran is one of the Wiggly dancers. If you have any of the recent videos, you may have heard him sing. He has a wonderful voice. I don't think you'll be disappointed. :thumbsup2

He is my favorite Wiggle as well as DD7's. I went to see him do some solo shows in Las Vegas. He is a very humble and kind man. I hope it is nothing serious.

We actually just went to see the Wiggles yesterday in RI, the day Greg was hospitalized. They didn't tell us what was wrong, just that Greg was taken to the hospital and that Sam would be taking his place. Sam did a good job. Hopefully Greg will be feeling better soon.

Not going, but I sure hope he tskes care of himself and it's nothing serious. My DDs love the Wiggles~

We took our two boys when they were in Charleston a couple of years ago. At that time it was Anthony that was ill and although all of the adults knew the difference, most of the younger children didn't even realize that it wasn't Anthony. My boys still enjoyed themselves and had a great time.

Who filled in for Anthony? Out of 6 concerts, we have been without Anthony at 2. We saw his brother Paul once and Wiggly dancer Brett the second time. And I agree with you, most young children don't even notice.

We're on schedule hopefully to see the Wiggles when they are at MGM next week. Boy, it's disappointing that Greg won't be there. He is my/DH/DS's favorite Wiggle (although DS really likes Jeff too). He really is the "voice" to all the songs so I wonder how that will go...I hope he's okay and recovers quickly.

Sam has an amazing voice. I think you will enjoy him. I understand though, it's not Greg. He is the voice of the Wiggles. :guilty:

We saw Sam fill in for Greg last fall when Greg had the hernia surgery. My kids didn't even realize it wasn't Greg! Sam was terrific. I'm sure the kids will have a fabulous time.

You're probably right...DS is very young and knowing how this Wiggles thing is going (if we even get in), we will be so far in the back we won't know the difference! Honestly, I'm sure he is great. I have noticed the various dancers b4 so I am familiar with them...I think that he will do a fine job.

We're going Friday night in Charlotte as well! Hello neighbor! My DDs are looking forward to it. The oldest will notice the difference, she doesn't miss a thing! I don't think they will mind. They'll be dancing and singing theirselves silly!

Giving this a little bump for anyone who may not have seen it yesterday. :bounce:
