New Info-Mexico Restaurant

The new restaurant in Mexico will reportedly be TWO STORIES with Counter Service on the lower level and Full Service on the Upper Level.

There will also be outdoor seating on the lower level and an IllumiNations viewing area on the upper level.

It sounds great!

The only thing that made the Mexico TS special to me was that it was actually "in" Mexico. That romantic ambiance wouldn't be possible if it was outdoors. If it is two story, I don't see how it can still be inside the attraction.

Will this be in addition to the current TS inside the pavilion - over on the water side where the current CS is??? I agree with the previous poster - we really love being "outside" inside at the current TS restaurant! Still sounds pretty cool - maybe it'll be done for next January??

I think there's a bit of confusion for many people about this restaurant.

The restaurant indoors, San Angel Inn, isn't changing. It's still located inside the ziggurat building, next to the boat ride. That restaurant isn't changing.

The new restaurant is replacing the Cantina de San Angel, which was the lagoon-side counter service restaurant. That restaurant was always outdoors, and they're just constructing it as a dual-level place to add table service as well as counter service.

I am heading to FL in June and have a feeling I am going to miss out!

I am already missing out on the new place in Italy (won't be open til the summer!)

I love Mexican food and would love to try it!
