Let me tell you what I have right now and can barely use:
Sony DSC F707 (10x zoom)--I know how to download the photos to my laptop, which I carry with me everywhere--also have all kinds of memory sticks. I love the quality of the photos but it is so large--too large for places like DIS meets or parties. Take it to a graduation or parade and you get awesome photos. It is a bit much for carrying around WDW. If I had grandchildren, I would suffer though
I need something smaller for carrying around everywhere.
I also have a Sony 120x Digital Zoom Super Steady Shot Digital Handycam. Which I never use because I don't have grandchildren. (Are you seeing a pattern here?)
I do not know how to use all fancy stuff on either of these cameras but I've got them.
Obviously, price doesn't matter or I wouldn't have these two beauties.
In answer to your questions:
Do you point and shoot or fiddle with lots of controls? Point and shoot is my preferred method.
Do you worry that the camera is fragile and keep it safe or tote it everywhere? I used to tote the F707 everywhere but I want something smaller that I can carry every where, if I want.
How are you going to carry it - in a bag, in a pocket, on the stroller, around your neck? No stroller

On a belt or shoulder strap? What do you recommend?
Size - There are some way cool digital cameras the size of a deck of cards. Small cost more how important is size? I want smaller but I don't suppose I need the size of a deck of cards
Zoom - None, 3x 5x 10x? I already have 10x, how about 5x? I don't know even 3x maybe? I think at least some sort of zoom.
Do you want to watch pictures on the TV in the hotel room? That sounds neat, don't know if I could learn how to do that, though.
How much are you going to spend, does price matter or did you win the lottery? (If the latter, Zurg is adoptable!) I didn't win the lottery. I say price doesn't matter but I imagine my husband could disagree with that sentiment
How do you feel about connecting computer cables? If you think I could learn how to do that, I suppose I'm willing to try--I am not good taking a manual and teaching myself computer stuff, though
Do you already have electronic toys that have required a big investment in SmartMedia, Compact Flash or Memory Sticks? I don't know, do I? I have some memory sticks, I don't know what SmartMedia is and is a compact flash like a flash for taking pictures inside?
Are you packing the laptop or will you be buying a lot of memory cards? Both

Thank you Majesty for helping me with this
