Did London Eye and was a great experience over historic London, not too sure I would pay to look down over Idrive. I only go up in the Seaworld Skytower because its free with our Passports, would never pay for that.
Don't think it will easy to recoup $38m they paid for the land, before they start with building costs.

On each of the occasions I've visited Seaworld the Skytower hasn't been working! Seems like a bit of harmless fun, it'd appeal to me, as long as it didn't cost the earth!

With the land costing $38million, building costs, staff, taxes etc it won't be cheap. I estimate around $20+tax pp. Personally I wouldn't pay half that to look down over Idrive, for $25 you can fly over it in a helicopter.
Time will tell, I can see it being a flop but hope I am wrong.

Last year sky tower wasn't working on one of our trips but it was at Easter this year.

good point...
personally i wouldn't go on it any time....
for that matter, i wouldn't go on something like that anywhere...including london....you couldn't pay me to go on it...
