New hotels already showing wear...

After reading many posts here over the last several months, I've noticed a fair many that speak to the "wear and tear" in Hotels, especially the newer ones. Now we all know that materials are not wear proof, so it's to be expected .. but I too question signs of wear in properties that are not even a year old yet. Having stayed at CI&S in Calypso Cay just recently, I too have to say that I've already noticed signs of wear, although very minor.. they are there and this play is not even a year old .. Now perhaps the materials certain hotels use are cheaper in quality than others or perhaps certain hotels just really don't stay on top of these things ..but I will say this .. I think that "certain" hotel guests treat the hotels and it property with little or no regard and I say this without hestancy. The rug, although practially brand new in our room was already stained and the stain was quite noticable. Now this is not a case of normal wear and tear, but the simple case that people just don't care. I noticed other things as well and these were things that you can tell were just done out of carelessness. Now, I can't tell people how to conduct themselves.. it's their money and thier business,, but the next time you look at a hotel and notice the "wear and tear", ask yourself .. is the hotel at fault for NOT keeping up (which in many cases it is) .. or is it the inhabitants of the property who treat the hotel with little or no regard. It's just a simple matter of good manners and courtesy.

Thanks
