I understand the new HM Queue was open for a few hours Yesterday.

Does anyone have a firsthand report?

The pictures look awesome!

Thanks.:)

YES!!!!:)

It was also open some Today.

Hopefully someone will be along with a firsthand report.

How exciting!:)

I was there yesterday around 8PM or so. It was closed off but I definitely got to see some things.

i'm ridiculously excited about this!!
:banana::banana::banana:
our trip happens to fall over a friday the 13th and even though its an EPCOT day, we're making a special trip to MK just to ride HM - we both LOVE it!!

Very cool - September cannot come soon enough. :)

I agree-VERY cool!:)

I LOVE the new Queues Disney is implementing!

I thought the new "Pooh Queue" was great, but this one is even better!

I hope the new Queue for Peter Pan will be interactive, but it may be a while before we know for sure.:)

But....does this ride ever have a line??? We always get right on in August. It seems really cool but seems very unnecessary.

**************.net should have videos up soon if not already...reports are they they may continue to soft-open the queue randomly.

I am so upset they moved Master Gracey's grave to the absolute smallest plot imaginable. Now everyone's going to be touching it and sticking things on it... ugh.

And those new busts look like they came out of a horribly animated Haunted Mansion cartoon. The new epitaphs are dumb and it all just looks like a big mess to me. I guess I need to see it in person, but it's like they made the mansion out to be a big joke so that kids wouldn't get scared. I am not a fan of these changes. Looks like I'm in the minority, though :sad2:

I do like the interactive musical instruments, but it all just seems so unnecessary.

Im so torn, Should I look or be surprised! I cant wait, ew missed HM last trip due to storms

I'm skeptical about interactive queues.

Indiana Jones at DLR had an amazing queue when it first opened. But the last time I was there (several years ago) I don't think any of the gags or effects were working.

The Test Track queue at Epcot originally had a number of interactive elements. They disappeared pretty quickly.

Not just in queues, but the interactive elements at the garden railway in Germany are gone, as are most of the Coke ice chest effects at the Outpost.

These things get a lot of use, sustain a lot of wear, and require a lot of maintenance. Unfortunately, history has shown that Disney is unwilling to spend the money to keep them going.

I'd love to be proven wrong.

You're not the only one. I looked at the pictures and I'm left thinking "big deal". None of it looked all that original, or even special. But, I haven't seem it in person...I hope I'm wrong.

I am glad I'm going ina few weeks though, because if Disney holds to par, none of these will work(or even be there) in a year.
