New high end hotel...

If you are looking for "high-end" / "luxury" hotels.....wouldn't you go to the DLR Hotels??? Yes, many of the Harbor Blvd. places are older motels, but they are a nice alternative. If I'm paying the prices at the high end, I'm going to the DLH or GCH.!

There's been no announcement as to the name of the new hotel. It could be a high end chain, just like the JW Marriott slated to go in next to Gardenwalk. If I were a business traveler and collected Marriott points all year, I'd use them for a family vacation like this.

Right. There are lots of folks who travel with Marriott or other chains and have points and/or VIP status with them. And quite frankly, the top level chains typically have higher service standards and more luxurious accommodations than the Disney resorts do at the same or lower price.

I really wish Disney would build a moderate hotel or affordable (I use the term loosely) family suite hotel like the Art of Animation resort at DisneyWorld. If you have a family larger than 5 people, there are really no options for you to stay on property, unless you book 2 rooms or one of the few suites available that run upwards of $700-$2000 a night.
