I'm new here. We're going in Sept staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Can't wait! We went last year, stayed off-site as we wanted to "do" Universal, Sea World, ect. Only did 2 Disney days.

We stayed at the Comt. 2 years ago. We really enjoyed staying there. Our dd was 2.5, so it was perfect for her. The monorail was nice.

She'll be 4.5 this trip.

Welcome to the DIS!
We stayed at WL Dec before last and really enjoyed it. DS was 10 and DD 6. They loved the pool, slide, and boat ride to MK! We had woodsview and enjoyed sitting on the balcony when they went to bed each night. We tried CR our last trip and loved that too! They are very different atmospheres and we love trying different resorts. Enjoy!

Little know fact at WL ~ sometimes you are able to upgrade to the concierge level at check in for a minimum amount of money per night (35.00 - 60.00)

This will give you access to a lounge area when you will have continental breakfast everyday, drinks and snacks through the day, hot & cold appetizers in the afternoon and desserts & cordials in the evenings,,, I find it comes in really handy when travelling with a child.

Dh and I have stayed at the WL previously, and we love it! It's always a hard decision if we should stay there again, or try one of the other great resorts! Your DD wil probably love the little bridge in the lobby and the totem poles. I'm sure everyone else can fill you in on more details! Have a great time!

You'll love Wilderness Lodge! It is such a beautiful resort. The boat ride to MK is very relaxing. Enjoy!

Welcome! I am recently new to the boards also and have found a fountain of knowledge at my fingertips.
In my opinion, you are staying at the best resort WDW has to offer. If my DH and I could, we'd make the WL our permanent home. We vow to retire there someday and work in the gift shop there.

I have just visited the WL property when it first opened (never stayed) - it looks like an awesome place to stay! I really like the huge rocking chairs in front of the fireplace in the lobby.

Hello Welcome!

I have never been to the WL but hope to after our next trip. We have 2 boys 4 yo and 1 yo and just recently got back in May from our 1st. trip. We stayed at the AllStar Movies the kids loved it.
