Hello everyone. I found this site while planning my first Disney vacation. I live right nearby, but I haven't been since I was in grade school, and my DD4 and DS6 have never been. They are SUPER excited. We didn't research very much before buying our tickets and making our reservations at CSR separately. I'm regretting it now because I think I would have liked to get the dining package.

Is there anything critical I should know before we go next week?

I would read the dis boards as much as possible and plan which parks to hit first-take lots of water

If your DD & DS use goggles when they swim, I would bring those.
Also, if you plan on going to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, you might want to bring water shoes. We go each May & the pavement gets HOT. Almost too hot to walk on.

Something we always get our DD & DS before each trip is 1 regular disposable camera & 1 waterproof disposable camera (for the waterparks). We get them at Target before we go..otherwise they are VERY expensive at Disney.

I also try not to let mine bring too many of their stuffed animals from home because we always ending up buying about 3 more for each child.
