Hi I am new here, we are leaving in 13 days and have a few questions, we will be in disney for 12 days we have 4 day hopper plus passes and universal/IOA for 2 days and sea world we will be arriving on a thursday or possibly fri, can anyone tell me what are the better days to do any parks? there is so much to do and I dont know where to start!

if you are staying onsite and choose to utilize this option. Regardless, with the exception of our first trip, we always choose to go to MK first. This park usually takes more than one day to complete, so we do 2 (or 3) partial days there. You can always hop over to Epcot or MGM later in the day. If you do AK, I wou;d go early, then take a break, then go on over to any other park for the rest of the day. Also check the parade schedules on Disney's own website to see which evenings and what times the parades/nighttime shows are in each park, to better plan your schedule. If you have PS reservations at any of the park/resort restaraunts, you may wish to base your park schedules around those. If there is rain any of the days you are there, you might want to do Epcot, because there are a bunch of indoor attractions there. Have a ball!

Hi stonesix!

You have a little time to gather a lot of information that will hopefully make your trip the best that it can be.

I am going to move this question over to the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies Board where the Park experts over there can help you with Disney Park Planning. I would also suggest that you take a look at our Universal and Orlando Boards (just go to the drop down list a the bottom of this page to find them) to get hints about Universal and Orlando.

Ask as many questions as you would like. There are lots of friendly people who want to help! :)

(BTW, my suggestion for good park days is that if you are staying off site, then visit the park that had its Extra Magic Hour the day before - they tend to be less busy on those days.)

Good Luck! :)

Do you have little ones? Many of the guidebooks suggest saving the MK until last if you have young kids and I agree! It is THE kid park, and they may be dissappointed with the others if you go there first. That being said, my 4 have been at all ages and enjoy all of the Disney parks ( we are not Universal fans.) Two of my kids consider EPCOT their favorite! We also LOVE Seaworld, but again it is mostly shows and not many rides. After that, I would decide based on if you are eligible for early entry. Have a great trip!!!

I agree and was going to post this too.

Here's what I've been reading about best days to do WDW parks:

During the week there are often local school trips planned to EPCOT. Better to do EPCOT on the weekend and the MK during the week. Avoid MK at all cost on a Saturday! I'm not sure about the other parks. Hopefully, someone else can address that.

Just returned from WDW this past week. Our family tradition is to always do MK on our first park day. I agree with frannn that it takes more than 1 day to do MK. We like to do it first, then we go back if we have time after doing the other parks. We usually do 5-Day park hopper tix so we have the option of hopping to a park that we want to 're-do'.
