Hi! I am a laid off flight attendant whose children think NOTHING of hopping on "Mommy's plane" and heading to Disney. We took my 7 yr. old when she was 2,3,4,5, and 6 and the 4 yr old has been when she was almost 2, 2, and 3!

We did the Princess Tea at GF, and breakfast in the castle last October, as we thought we wouldn't be back soon...Now the girls are pouring over their Disney for Kids book, wanting me to print a list of Hidden Mickey's and, well, I found great airfare for June for 137.00/pp from Indy. We live closer to Chicago but w/ traffic and construction and the prices are higher it is easier to go to Indy, and now I want to go too!

DH is looking at his schedule...We cannot go fall break, I am expecting a 3rd baby in November, so it's now or wait until next spring/summer.

Do we go for it? We haven't been planning or saving! We've been so many times I know what we want to see, and just need to plan and see if we can squeeze it all in timewise. We used the last of the days on our Hoppers so we have to buy for just this trip or start over so we have them.

Our air will run $548 for all of us, we always get a car, then need tickets, food/shopping, hotel (lucked out last year got the Courtyard in Marriott Village for $53 a night and they gave us a suite). Love to stay on site but with such little advance planning I doubt we can swing it without charging it and I'd like to stay away from it.

So can I do it? We're talking 3 1/2 weeks here...

Welcome to the Dis boards LuvTinkBell!!

That is great airfare!! I'd jump on it!! Here is my suggestion...go to the DVC rent/trade board and see if anybody is trying to get rid of their points. You can get a pretty good deal on a deluxe resort by renting points.

I've also been looking on biddingfortravel.com and priceline is coming up with All Stars for about $40 per night. You could check that out.

Good luck!! And, again, welcome!!

I think if it isn't going to kill you financially and you can make it work with being pregnant, then start callin now! I would book it all up and get ready to roll. However, if it is going to be a financial burden i wouldn't do it. No sence digging a hole and jumpin in. Use you best judgment, but I would stay off site, and start booking today. you could get it all booked today if you worked on it. Good luck to you, and if you do go, have a great time.

Thanks for the tips! We usually try Priceline for a car, and I just found a Chevy Impala on Expedia for about $143 for the 4 days. DH just sold his, we know how it works (I'm always afraid of new cars that aren't MINE- LOL!) and how much room it has.

Seems the All Star hotels are sold out for the days we are looking at. I am looking for something w/ breakfast and a fridge right now.

We normally give the girls Disney Dollars for spending and they know once they are gone-that's it. Ok, they usually give daddy those big, sad eyes, but...My little one actually probably had too much spending money. She wanted Mickey suckers, a Princess t-shirt, and I had to spend a lot of her money for her, she wanted small stuff. This time we can cut back on that.

I work at a nightclub, bartending, so if I work 2 night a week (that's all we are open, Thurs and Sat) then that gives me 7 nights to work, and I will have at LEAST $1,000. So if DH agrees to the trip, we can pay for air, hotel, car, and even park tickets and spending now (Disney dollars I mean); using the $1000 toward food, stroller rental, extras, etc. Should work! We are going M-F most likely.

My tentative plan:
Mon-Travel/Downtown Disney?Rainforest for dinner (always do this)
Tues- MK
Wed- MK/MGM
Thurs- DD wants Blizzard Beach, DH Universal (but we talked about parks for 2 days, not 3, we'll see)
Fri- pool, travel home in evening

Our kids are 4 and 7, now my sis who has 2 boys (same ages) is thinking of tagging along and they have never been so I think going to MK twice is fine, my kids like to hop over to MGM for some of the shows. We have a waterpark 10 min from here, I know it is not Blizzard Beach, but it isn't like they can't go to one, and they aren't great swimmers/thrill riders yet, so we have to decide if this is worth it.

Am I doing ok so far?

You are doing great! Your gettin the itinerary completed. Decide what restraunts you will eat at and get them booked today. I would do breakfast in the hotel, like maybe poptarts or granola bars, something to grab n go. My Ds is 7, he likes the grab n go breakfast. 2 days Mk is good enough, you'll have time to see it all. We opt out of the water parks too. We are in California and we have water parks here we also avoid. My Dh has a weird thing about water parks so we avoid them. No loss to Ds7, he hates water slides. I'd do what you are doing. And downtown disney should be where you try to do your shopping and get it out of the way with the kids. Rainforrest is great!!!! Keep planning just make the ressies as you go. : )
