New Here Staying at POP in August

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and will be staying at POP in August (21). Please let me know anything about where I can find suggested itineraries for my wife and two boys (ages 9 and 11).

Also, which room locations are best at POP ( I hear overlooking the lake???)/

Hi markjazz and welcome to the DIS.

We stayed at POP in January and loved it. We were placed in the section 1950s and thought it was very convienent. It is very close to the main building and bus stop and even has its own pool.

Hi and welcome!!! Sorry, I've never been to POP, but I can address your other question:

Check here: http://www.touringplans.com/tp2/UG2_index.php?PageID=14 for the crowd calendars. That's the website that accompanies the Unofficial Guide to WDW-- they do a nice job of recommending which park(s) are most and least likely to see a crowd on any given day.

Also, if you're interested, they have sample touring plans-- they have a list of which rides/ attractions to see in which order to minimize waits. Take a look at the free samples and decide whether or not it's worth it for you to subscribe.

Since you're going late in August, I assume you have free dining?? If so, have you already made your dining reservations?? If not, check the menus at www.allears.net and hit the online reservation site. Since free dining was announced quite some time ago, you may have to be really flexible and check back a number of times to get the reservations you want.

We've stayed in the 50's building overlooking the lake the last 2 years. It's our favorite location.

another vote for the 50's. We stayed there once and was in the 50's. great location, close to the food court and bus stop.
