New here - Questions about Escape Wedding

Hi there!
My DD and her fiance are seriously thinking about a Disney Wedding. We were looking at the Escape Weddings - either at Sunset Point or at the Boardwalk. I understand that only 20 people can attend this, but am not clear on whether the $10000 minimum applies to these weddings. We are newbies at this and have just started to look at the wedding site. They are getting married next year either in March or Sept. depending on costs etc.

Any help is so much appreciated!!!

no, the $10,000 min only applies to the Wishes weddings. The standard for an Escape wedding is just under $3000 ($1,000 more for the pavilion,) and are held Mon-Fri but I think there are restrictions on the no of people at some locations. http://www.disneyweddings.go.com/site/wed/int/start/index.jsp


Have you started a wish book on www.disneyweddings.com ? you can play around with costs and things on there.

The cost for escape or intimate weddings is a set price and then there are add ons for extras if you want them, the minimum $$ amount does not apply. This year i think the cost is around $3000.
Im getting married this september and wanted Sunset Pointe, but i was told this location is only available between october and march, and also i think there is a maximum of 10 guests. I dont think there are any restrictions at the BoardWalk.

As previous posters said, the escape wedding package is about $2950 ( add $1000 for the Wedding Pavillion). There are no minimum expenditures, but the bride and groom must spend 4 nights at a WDW owned and operated resort. Escape weddings can have a maximum of 20 attendees (including the bride and groom). Sunset Point can hold a maximum of 10 ppl, and as mentioned, it is only available certain times of the year. (The Boardwalk can hold your maximum of 20).
If you haven't already checked the Disney weddings website, do so and start a wishbook for Escape weddings....it will show you what is included in the package, and what "enhancements" you can add. Note: If you have more than 10 ppl, you may need to add an extra bottle or 2 of champagne for the cake-cutting thing after the ceremony.
