Hi everyone!

My family will be traveling to Orlando this weekend and staying for a week. I am traveling with an 8 1/2 month old, and I need advice.

What suggestions do you have as far as taking formula and baby food to the parks? Is it better to take the little formula dispenser or to carry it in ziploc snack bags. We will either take bottled water or I think I saw somewhere on here that the baby centers have filtered water. I don't even know where to begin with all of my questions (this is our first big trip with DD). Any answers and other suggestions would be so helpful!!

Thanks so much in advance!

What I did when DS was still on formula was to measure out the amount of formula needed for 8 oz. bottle and put that right into the bottle (However many I think I would need, plus 1 just in case). THen I would carry a bottle of water to pur into the bottle when needed, shake, and you're ready to go. Laso, some formula's come premade for 8oz bottles. They look like the crytal light 1 serving packet. These worked very well too. Take how many you think you would need for the day (+1) and only have to carry one bottle around and enough nipples around (much easier than carrying 4 - 5 bottles per day)

Hope this helps

Janet

I did the same thing for our kids. I guess it is easier now to travel with the formula in those pre measured packets. Then you could just carry one bottle, then again you would have to keep washing it everytime you needed it.

I would suggest taking your own stroller for the baby. She will be much more comfortable. Also, take advantage of the baby care centers. They are great and have everything you need for feedings, diaper changes, or a break from the sun! Don't forget a hat and a canopy on your stroller to keep the sun away. If you do a search you will find a ton of info on this board with tips for taking a baby. Here is a link to some info from another great Disney site:

Have a great time and just read up on this site for a ton of great info!!!

We always just used a formula dispenser and brought bottles of water. When we wanted a bottle, we just poured it in, shook it and it was good to go.
