New here just curious what is a photo pass??

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what a photo pass is and if it's used at all the parks (disneyland, california adventures, knott's berry farm, universal studios)or just disneyland? Do you purchase the pictures at the park before you leave ?

Photopass is a card given to you by a Disney Photographer. They will scan the card each time you have one of them take your picture. You can purchase the pictures before you leave or online when you get home. It's lots of fun as you can send the pics to anyone free of charge and purchase the ones you love. Not sure if other parks have this feature I know that WDW Parks do.

Check out Allearsnet.com for some updated information about photo pass. We had one for our 2006 trip and my only regret is that we didn't have tons more pics taken. We could have done many more combos (ie, just the kids, each kid alone, etc) As it turns out we got 44 pictures and bought the cd for around $100, about $2.00 per picture. The went to Walmart and printed bunches. I think it is now up to $125, but the afore mentioned web site said something about pre-purchasing and it is still $100. So far one ride, test track, has the option to insert your photopass to have that picture added to your photopass. The pictures are great quality, well posed, and have great settings. Some photographers are better than others, but we were very pleased with the final result.
