Hi there. This site was suggested to me when I was asking some questions about our Disney trip. We are going May 24th-29th. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge cabins. We are flying down with our 3 yr. old and infant twins (will be 8 mo. at the time). Here are some of my questions:

Should I pack enough diapers, formula, food, etc. for the babies for our entire trip or is there a way to get these things while we are there? As you can immagine, we go through a lot with twins!

How is the luggage delivery? Does it take long to get to your room?

This is what we have planned for our trip:

Bippity, Boppity Beauty Salon and then a dinner with Cinderella/Prince Charming (sorry, my Mom made the reservation so I don't know the name of it)
Tea for Two (I believe at the Grand Floridian)

We will be spending one day at Sea World.

Do you all suggest getting the dining meal plan? If so, what are your suggestions?

TIA for all your help. I'm so nervous thinking about trying to make this perfect for our kiddos and not screw things up with 2 babies.

I'm sorry, I didn't get the message that was supposed to be here. Could you try it again? Thanks!

In regards to Diapers and Formula for the trip. Are you going to have a car? If you are there are stores in the area. If youa re not going to have a car I would make sure that you have enough for your trip. Maybe send them to the hotel ahead of time.
I have not used ME yet and have heard conflicting reports as to the length of time that it take, some fairly quick and others say it has taken hours. Maybe pack what you need for a few hour in a carry on.
Meal plan? Are you and your family big eaters ? Do you like sit down meals instead of counter service? I have heard that there is a huge amount of food on the dinning plan. I have not done the meal plan as I am ok with just grabbing a quick counter service meals. We do sometimes do a couple of sit downs on a trip but usually end up splitting meals. Just make sure that you have made ADR's before you go if you plan on doing sit down. Check out the Dinning thread for lots of great tips and advice.

No matter where you fly, no matter who you fly with, it's ALWAYS appropriate to pack for the first 24 hours in your carry-ons, just in case the AIRLINE delays your luggage. I do this every time I fly anywhere. The latest stats say airlines delay luggage at the rate of 10,000 pieces per DAY. Pack your carry-ons as if if this WILL happen to you. Wouldn't it stink if you knew to this and DIDN'T? Sure, you could be mad at the airline or DME, but it's YOU who would be (temporarily) suffering for not planning ahead.

Expect your DME luggage to arrive up to 4 hours or more after your airplane arrives. Could be sooner, probably won't be longer. Pack accordingly in your carry-ons.

As the previous poster said, bring enough diapers and formula for your stay, or ship them to yourself ahead of time. Since you're taking DME, you obviously won't have a car with you. Renting a car for a day JUST to get more supplies is a HUGE waste of time and money compared with shipping it yourself.

You can also look into several grocery delivery services. Gooding's (www.goodings.com) is a local supermarket. Their delivery webiste has only a limited selection, but they deliver everything they stock on their shelves (except alcohol). WeGoShop (www.wegoshop.com) and Garden Grocer (www.gardengrocer.com) are delivery services that will shop anywhere you want them to.

So you do have options. My advice to you is to pack it all in your suitcases and carry-ons (remember, AT LEAST one day's supply of everything in your carry-ons, and also remember that even young children who have airline tickets are entitled to their own carry-ons even if they're to young to actually carry it on themselves). If you do this, it'll leave you lots of room to pack souvenirs for your return trip!

ENJOY!

Have a great Vacation. Yes get the dining plan if you can.
