Hi! I'm new to this site. I have three kids, ages 5, 4, and 1 and we are Disneyland fanatics!!
We have been planning on going the last week of May with my extended family (my parents plus siblings and grandmother). It was our big Christmas present, the tickets are bought, the kids know... it's pretty set in stone.
Our youngest daughter has hip dysplasia. She spent most of her first year in various braces and 12 weeks in a Spica (body) cast. We thought her treatment had worked and things were looking good, but unfortunately, I just noticed some red flags and her ortho is having us come in in two weeks for an x-ray. There is a possibility her hip has dislocated again and she will need to do it all over again--surgery and body cast. Oh, she's 16 months, btw, 18 months during our planned trip.
So my question is: has anyone actually taken a toddler to Disneyland (or World) in a Spica cast? I don't know if it's something we should try or just skip the trip.
We have done the Spica before, so I know all the info about carseats, strollers, diapering, etc. I'm just wondering if it's something we can do at Disneyland!
