Okay this is my first post, but this is not my first visit to DISboards. I have been reading and gathering tips since 2008.

My first visit to the World was in July 2008 (over the 4th of July holiday) and I did not know how to actually visit this great place. I used the dining plan but did not know that I needed to make reservations. I did not even plan how we were going to visit the parks. In fact we did all the park planning the night before in the resort room. Basically it was a learn as you go Disney vacation. We also made all the dining reservations from the resort room the night before our first day in the parks. Some of the places we ate at were the Crystal Palace, Tusker House, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Playhouse Disney's Play and Dine at Hollywood and Dine, and a couple of other places that I cannot remember. All in all we had a great time in that trip. In fact I was addicted after that first trip.

I guess I should introduce my family and myself. There is my 9 year old son who loves videos games, plays the piano, plays basketball, scuba dives, and loves mission space. Then there is my 6 year old daughter who is a very girly girl. She loves all of the princesses and believes that she is one as well. She plays the piano, taps and dance, loves Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road, and here favorite princess is Ariel. My 29 year old beautiful wife is a nurse and has been the love of my life since I was 14 years old. She is very creative, loving, and honestly the nicest person you would ever want to meet. Her favorite ride is the Dinosaur Ride. And then there is me. I am 31 years old and I am a Network Engineer. I was in the army for 6 and a half years and loved every minute of it. I love Disney World, it is the only place that I can relax, forget about the real world, and not think about anything except my family and the great memories that we are making.

At any rate that is a summary of us. I hope to continue to read about everyone's trips, all the tips, and all the magic.

Oh, by the way I have already booked our next trip for June 2011 and we got free dining this time. Let the planning begin.
