New here and in shock I am posting here

Hellow folks! This will be our first trip to Disneyw ith our 10 year old. I am 43years old and until 5 1/2 months ago was in good health. Then I herniated a cervical disk in my neck/spine which triggered a rapid decline in a half dozen other serious health matters. Its been a long hard road to recovery. We are planning our trip in Novmber so I have time to recover more (having hand surgery next week, epidural blocks in neck, etc).
I know many of the rides are not recomended for people with neck injuries and printed out a list with the restrictions I am so bummed since this is MY first trip. I am also sort of worried about walking all those long distances. Someone suggeted renting a wheelchair or scooter if I get in pain from all the schlepping. I am a bit embarassed to do this since beig impared and not doing everything is new to me. How is this done? Is it true it gets you to the front of the line faster? I am really hoping that by November I am in the best shape of my life for all the walking, but I also want to be prepared just in case.
Thanks for the help.
