Confession: I've been lurking on this board for a couple of weeks now. I know all about PIN codes and am almost up to speed on the abbreviations for every WDW resort.

When the thread about the expanded room only discounts came up today, I jumped over to the Disney website and started pricing. The problem is, I had been pricing "packages" before, so when the "room only" price came up, it looked ridiculously low to me.

I added on the park tickets, the dining plan, etc, and it still seems to be a good price, but having only been at this "Disney-bargain-hunting" game for a few weeks, I'm uncertain as to whether this is REALLY a good deal, or if I'd do better to wait for a PIN code. I've tried to go back and look at my "Saved Offers" but it seems they have disappeared now that I have this one on hold.

Right now, I have the Poly (Garden view) for 4 nights (6/9-6/13), plus DP, plus 5-day park hopper, for a little over $2700. (2 adults, 2 children) I think that seems pretty good for what is basically an all-inclusive vacation for 4 nights, but I'm such a newbie, I don't know.

Should I grab this deal, or keep shopping?

You can book it now and when/if a package discount comes out, you can just call and have it added to your reservation.

As far if it's a good deal, that would depend on what you are wanting. We are a family 6, we have 4 children, we usually go in September with free dining and get two connecting rooms at All-Star Movies for 8 nights with 7 day hoppers for $2,800.00 - for us that's a good deal. But if your family wants to stay at a deluxe resort and can only go in June, that may be a good deal for you.

:welcome: mousketexan  As the PP mentioned, you can always modify your reservation if a better deal comes along :yay:

Just wanted to let you know that the extended summer room special was a better deal for me than the PIN code (20,30,40) that I had. It wasn't a whole lot, and I'm staying at a value, but every little bit helps!

We are trying to figure out if we want Port Orleans Riverside or All Star Movies two connecting rooms. We have 3 kids (11,5,3) and 2 adults. Do you like the connecting rooms better than staying a step up in one room? Sorry for jumping off subject. I just saw your post and kinda fell in what I'm trying to figure out.

Yes! You have almost twice as much room and two bathrooms, plus my kids LOVE All-Star Movies. We have seriously thought about splurgin and getting two rooms at the Poly next year, but the kids said they would rather stay at ASMo, so we're just going to save that extra almost $3,000.00 it would cost us.
