Lots of cutesy images.

Hello Thursday. There is a Design Studio update, here, it says November, but it's the new ones. I haven't looked at them in CDS yet to see if there are lots of empty spots, but until I see some stuff made of these, I think I can live without them ;).

i want the camping one!! so cute -- great for cubscout camp out layouts!! and the moose is too cute...

Jennifer

First, let me say, I love that I get my Hello Thursday on Friday!

As far as the new carts go, there was nothing major that really jumped out at me. I thought the critters were cute and the baby cart is cute, but neither are a must have.

I think I am going to work on getting SCAL first.

oh my -- did you see the 3-D tents and backpack boxes on the camping ones? so cute for scouts -- cant wait to get this one -- on my NEED and WANT list for sure!!!
Jennifer

I went back and looked at the camping one. I could see that one for girl scout stuff too.

JM - I got it at 3:39 this morning, Friday (well, that was the time stamp on it, I wasn't actually UP then).

I really love the camping critters cartridge!!! It would be perfect for DS's scout pages and for our 2 trips to Montana.

I find it interesting that the carts that are for the Circle Members now will be available for all us non-Circle Members next month. Wasn't one of the big-selling points of the Circle being able to get exclusive carts?
I also think Hello Thursday has kind of lost it's excitement ... I never remember it until someone else points it out to me. Could be because I still can't log in to the Cricut message board and they don't seem to respond to emails!

I don't think they are exclusives (at least the ones in the Hello Thursday - I know there are three exclusives though). They are just able to buy them first (from Cricut.com, at their ridiculously high prices).

So you cannot log onto the message boards?! Me either, but I thought it was just me. I gave up because I thought I was doing something wrong. I used to post projects all the time, but I am never over there anymore!

I used to post there all of the time too
but if I do something in SCAL & add that one thing to the page then I can't post it without being ban from the site (according to the rules that you have to agree to now)
I think I had to use my email instead of my name to log in - hope that helps ya.

Nope ... if I log into the cricut.com site I look logged in but when I click to go over to the message board I am not logged in there. When I try to log in it tells me my password is invalid. I've emailed them twice I believe and have never gotten a response. I give up!

I think that is completely silly. Yes, SCAL is not a PC product, but the machine you are using to cut the paper is. Sounds like party poopers to me! :goodvibes

They know that there is a work around for not using cartridges and want to squash that like a bug. If it gets out to too many people, Provo Craft'll stop making $ on the sale of the cartridges (which are ridiculously overpriced - they *must* have figured out the cheapest way to make them, why are they still so expensive?).

Exactly! That is my beef with M's. They price their carts higher than on the Cricut site...really?!

On Black Friday I tried to get them to price match a competitor...they flat out refused because the competitor ad featured some older carts. I left without my carts and rather angry. Fast forward to this month, 2 of the carts that I was trying to get them to match at $16.99 I bought for $9.99. I am glad they saved me about $15, but that is an extra $15 they could have made. They are getting quite strict about the policies and coupons.

What bothers me about M's is their inconsistencies. They had a sale "All Open Stock Paper regularly priced $.59, 4/$1." So...I go to the store and get Bazzill 8.5x11, regularly priced $.59 (and it had a sign in front of it saying it was 4/$1) and go up to the register to check out. No, that doesn't mean "card stock." Hello? OPEN STOCK paper means paper not in packages, not PAPER only and no card stock. By law, they had to give it to me at the sale price, because of the error on their sign-age, but really? Open stock paper doesn't include card stock? I took the manager over to the Recollections card stock and said, "well then, why does it include this?" He had no answer for me. I purposely double checked the ad to see that it didn't say "12x12" and it didn't. It makes me crazy that they put the ads out there and just make up their own rules as they suit them.

Sorry for the novel...Incorrect pricing is one of my pet peeves.

Vent away Sista! :thumbsup2

Do not even go into a M's with a coupon that DOES NOT have the "no Cricut products" disclaimer and think it is going to take less than an hour and discussions with less than 3 people. Because of this very situation I am on a first name basis with the manger at my M's; Phil and I are bonded over coupons! :lmao:
