New Halloween Party?

It's probably early, but does anyone have any information on the new Halloween party that is going to be at MGM?

I read a little blurb about it in the new Unofficial guide, but I was wondering if there is any other information out there.

We are going to be booking soon-ish, and I'm trying to decide when the best time to go would be.

This is something they have been 'toying' with for awhile now. Nothing definative has been said yet though.Stay tuned...things can change rapidly.

I find it odd they actually put this in print in the Unofficial guide - it's a rumor, and a weak one at that. I can't recall seeing anything on web through the normal channels (wdwinfo, mouseplanet, miceage) that offer any substance to this.

I would be somewhat surprised to see Disney compete with Universal for the teen/adult scary halloween party, and I actually sorta doubt Disney could pull it off. Universal has the thrill rides to keep the teens and adults interested - MGM has ToT and RnR, and that's it. Right now, Disney has their 'Disneyfied' version of a halloween party, and US/IOA has their horror-scarefest thrill party, and I think both sides like it that way.

Well, the Unofficial guide made it sound like it was something that was happening for sure (though I know this might not be the case), and starting in October 2007.
