I haven't seen this particular question pop up yet so, here goes....

Our family of 5 has one child who won't be 6 until May 2010. The other 4 of us have chosen and participated in GAD this week. We didn't wait for ds5 b'day because we didn't want to worry about all the vouchers being gone by the time he turns 6. So, in signing up the rest of the family (including both mom and dad), will we be able to sign him up later?? My worry arises from

1. Lead volunteer must be 18 (ds5 can't be Lead Vol. and mom is already registered as a Lead Vol. who has completed a task)

2. Dad is registered as Vol#1 and ds5 other legal guardian

We would be happy to volunteer with him when he is 6 so he can earn his voucher but in the system, it will show that we (both his legal guardians) already have vouchers and he can't sign up alone because he isn't 18.

Once he is actually 6, I will probably call and ask but if anyone knows the answer now, that would be great.

Sorry so long, hope I have made our situation clear.

When I read the FAQ sction, it said that the participant must be 6 when they sign up for an opportunity, so it is my guess you will have to wait until after his birthday to sign up and participate. Don't know how strict they are on this though, (the age when they sign up and participaite) but I think it will matter when you trade your voucher for a ticket and he has to show that he is 6. Have not read enough yet to see how stict they are on showing IDs for children when you exchange your voucher.
You can be lead volunteer with him again, as many times as you would like, but you will only get one voucher.
That is how I understand it all anyway. Hope it helps.

Sorry, to clarify about lead volunteer, I already did a GAD with my son, and then signed up later for my daughter. I had to sign myself up again as her guardian, but it does not list me as participating in the event, therefore not giving me another voucher. But I am happy to do it with her!

Thanks! This is what I wanted to know. I am happy to do another day with my son after he turns 6. Glad to know that it should work out ok.

I am planning to wait until after his birthday--I am counting on them being very strict and they would definitely know if you cheat because you have to present a copy of their birth certificate when you redeem the voucher.
