New frozen ride... best time with no FP

We're doing a quick trip Thanksgiving week and have one day with FPs at epcot. We really want to use the main FP for soarin as we haven't seen the new one. We'll be at Epcot in the evening that day around 4pm til close. We have one other morning there (park open til around lunch). Are the lines still crazy at the new frozen ride? Whens the best time to try it w/out too huge of a line? Thanks!

My suggestions would be:

1. The day you're in Epcot for the evening, get a FP+ for FEA and then hit Soarin' right near closing. The standby line for Soarin for the last 30 minutes the park is open is nearly non-existent.

2. The morning you're in Epcot, rope drop FEA and use your Tier 1 FP+ for something else. We hit FEA without a FP+ around 9:45am and waited less than 30 minutes...and that was only 10 days after the ride first opened.

What time was park opening when you rode FEA at 9:45am?

We went to Epcot on an EMH day and got there at about 8:40. We were unfortunately late for EMH but it didn't end up being too bad. We were back to Norway and through the ride before regular park opening. This was on Thursday September 15th so it may very well be much more crowded on Thanksgiving week.
