Hi there! We are planning our first Disney family trip as well, for April. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I picked it because of it's proximity to Magic Kingdom, plus it has all the wow factor for our first trip. I love that it has a little beach, the resort is amazing, plus it's close to Fort Wilderness to do the campfire sing-a-long with Chip and Dale at night. My youngest will be 5 and my oldest will be celebrating a 7th birthday at the time of our trip.
