I too had checked the website and had no problem getting what my friend wanted, so I knew something wasn't right. Turns out my friend had NOT used the travel agent so it was my friend that had called WDW directly to be told "sorry, sold out". She said the girl didn't seem to know what she was doing, even when she asked her to check availability at other resorts as well ... the CM told her "this has been out for a week, of COURSE we're going to be sold out already."
Hearing this put me on a mission to get my friend her free dining!
She came over after work, and we were able to pull up Sports for that week. Then got talking about having a TS in her dining options, and ended up booking her at CSR for the week.

She was going to call CRO today and cancel her original ressie.
She was frustrated with the experience, but quite happy to have me help her resolve it over a glass of wine at my computer.

Next on the list is to get her dining ressies made ... I sent her off with a list of favourites to check out the menus, and told her that there was more wine waiting when she was ready to proceed.
