If you are hot and I can't have you, I might need to unfriend you. I just cannot stand seeing your hot picture anymore. Its driving me crazy. :rotfl2:

Of course, I cannot tell him that however. :goodvibes

Do you have any new Facebook rules?

Please please please for the love of all things alive when it comes to pictures:

1) keep your clothes on while taking pictures
2) you don't look cool, or hot, you look wasted
3) we get it, you can make a pouty face, a peace sign and take a picture at the same time, you only need to do it once (really you don't even need to do it once)

Yes. If you use facebook to constantly brag, I will unfriend you.

If you use facebook to list everything you have to do each day and every day, I will unfriend you.

If you use facebook to further your political agenda, I will unfriend you.

I only friend REAL LIFE FRIENDS. I like these people, and no one has to worry about getting unfriended.

And also :thumbsup2 to the person talking about pouty face peace sign pictures in a million poses!!!

-Posting song lyrics, religious scripture, or celebrity/historical quotes as status updates does NOT express your individuality. You are simply copying and pasting words that somebody ELSE has already written.

-It is perfectly fine to allow others to take a picture of you, or heaven forbid, use a camera timer. If you have over 600 friends like your profile suggests, then surely you can find someone to take a snapshot of you. Do all profile pictures have to look like these?
ms2.jpg
ms1.jpg

(by the way, none of those pics are mine or of me. Just used to illustrate).

-I don't give a flip about your stinkin' FARM!!!!

-Many people use Facebook for career networking and widening their resources/contacts, especially in this job market. So if you receive a random friend request from someone you've never met...it doesn't always mean that it's Joe Stalker coming to get you. HOWEVER, many people only use Facebook to keep in touch with actual individuals they know. So if you are using Facebook to network with the public, and getting a lot of rejects from strangers...DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY.

If you use facebook to further your political agenda, I will unfriend you.
I am very guilty of this. Mainly because most discussion boards are banning political talk. So on Facebook, I let it all out. But am trying to get better and less political.

1) keep your clothes on while taking pictures

That one kind of depends on who you are talking about.

I hate the self portrait. Either get a friend to take your picture or the read the manual and figure out the timer function on your camera.

I am also not a fan of what I refer to as Myspace voodoo. This is taking pictures at strange angels (high over head for example), or using Photoshop to add all kinds of weird lighting effects (like neon glow) to try and alter your actual appearance.

I will not play any of the games that do nothing but prove how socially engineer-able you are (Farmville anyone). I don't care if you are proving you are a sheep while making Zynga millions upon millions but I am not joining you.

If you are my child's teacher I will ignore your friend request. I don't want to see the photos of you drunk. Its fine that you drink...but I don't want to see it.

If you constantly post videos that you have made, several a day, I will unfriend you.

If you insist on "pillow fighting" with me, even though I've never thrown a single pillow back.... I will hide you. Throw away, I will never know!

If you are my teenage nephew and post very inappropriate things...I will tell your parents.

1. Yes I know you know how to pout and do a peace sign but please, you are 40-something, you are not a teenager with an attitude problem. At this point it just looks silly.

2. Please don't quote a song lyric and state "That is my SONG!" or "This is so me" I know in the clubs it may sound cool to point at yourself and say "He totally gets me!" But on Facebook it sounds kind of stupid (especially if ho's are mentioned, I mean really?)
3. You know you have family on your friendlist right? Why post "Beer is so good! I am gettin' wasted!" complete with a picture of you and a beer bottle, you know Grammy is reading it. If you want to post something like that, just make sure her "sugar plum" doesn't allow the pics to be seen by her.

4. If you ARE going to self portrait in the bathroom because for some reason people do this, flush the dang toilet.

5. I love hearing news about you, but there is a limit. I unfriended so many people because it was post after post of this.

On the same note, if you are over 40 and weigh more than 200 pounds, for the love of all that is holy, PLEASE delete the 100 some pictures of yourself with the pushup bra and/or plus size Fredericks of Hollywood dress. :scared1:

The lighting is better in the bathroom.

I want to see an updated photo of you, not one from 15 years ago! You may be prettier, younger and thinner, but I like the real you.

Don't lock your wall up so no one can post on it and then comment on everyone's else's!

Post to your relatives about how you are their favorite _______ (relation) when you know other relatives are reading it too.

:)

- I hate the song lyrics too, I really don't get those posts sorry.

- I have a friend who recently become involved in a new women's networking business (sort of like a BBB for women's businesses). Her posts have gone from personal to all about promoting this business and the businesses who pay to be a part of it. I have hid her so I don't have to see that crap anymore, if I wanted to see the businesses who pay to be part of it I would go to their site, thanks. I wish she would just set up a seperate page and ask people to become a fan of it or whatever so I could chose, I liked hearing about her and her kids, now all I hear about is this new company.

- I hate the people, mostly teens, who have horrible spelling "going to my bff, texxxxxxttt meeeee ;))))". Why do they add extra letters? Am I missing something?

~ If you are a teen and you friend request me b/c I used to be your teacher and you think it's cool that I'm on FB, keep in mine that I *will* tell your parents about any inappropriate posts or pictures on your page. I'm not *that* cool.

~ If you are angry with someone or something, either go right ahead and post it, or keep it to yourself. Your mysterious, passive-aggressive postings make all of your friends wonder if you're mad at them.

~ You're not that deep. And neither am I. Don't try to dazzle us with your intellectual ramblings.

I had this conversation with my 13yo dd last night. She texts and adds all of the extra letters. Annoys me. I was just writing back one word answers hoping she would stop texting. When I picked her up, she asked me why I only texted one word answers. I told her it is annoying to read "texxxxxxxt mmmmeeeee", etc. Her response was everybody does it. I told her if she wanted to look clueless and illiterate to her friends, then limit her texts to them and don't bother with me.

This is my child that will complete highschool next year right after she turns 14. She corrects her English teacher's grammar, for goodness sake. So annoying, but I imagine we did something as equally annoying to our parents.

Do not use an alias but REAL pictures of you in sexually come hither poses and then befriend a coworker in a VERY small office...

You WILL be subject to abject ridicule at the Christmas party! :cool1::lmao::scared1::laughing::woohoo::dance3:

I have a friend that took a pic of himself with his phone aimed at the mirror...you can see the urinal in the back. Who does that!?!?!?!?!?!?! :confused3

You all don't care about my farm :scared1: :sad2:

There is a whole thread of people who care about my farm, I am going over there :snooty:

and a now a PSA

*real friends don't let friends drink and facebook*

(though I do enjoy getting up on Saturday and Sunday and see how bad that posts from last night are)
