New england dis meet. Movie

Tara I would be cool with Fitchburg and it would probably work better for the Nashua folks. It would be lousy for Mindy though.

I don't mind driving....wherever is most convenient for everyone is good by me.

(it's only the hairier areas of Boston that I get a little panicky driving through....)

I can look inton Cinema world if you guys want.. I was just joking but I know they will have it in 3D and I should be able to get a good group ticket price. I have no problem where ever you guys tell me to go

See if you can get some times and prices for CinemaWorld Tara.

Ok.. I just talked to my little borther... They do not offer group pricing BUT he suggested we pool our money and buy Gift certificates when we get there and w can turn them in the same day.. we get 2 free tickets for every $50 we spend. Tickets are $7.50 and Show times are 12:15, 2:30, 4:45. There is the Huge Chineese buffet right next door if anyone wants to grab a bite to eat.

I believe it is called King Buffet. I haven't eaten there in a few years but I enjoyed it when I went. There is also a "99" close by along with Taco Bell, D'Angelos, Burger King, McD's, Friendly's. Closer to me is an Applebee's, Longhorn, Uno's, and Outback.

I would give King Buffet a whirl again. :3dglasses

Like I said.. I will do what ever you guys decide!!! We do not have to do King Buffet I just knew it was right there and the food is pretty good.

Although Fitchburg is closer for me too, I was looking forward to Patriot place, the newness and 5 guys.

I will go wherever the wind blows but I wanted to voice my opinion! : )

Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

I am not sure we can make it this meet, it really depends on time. Fitchburg is good for us too but don't plan around us as the 15th is iffy for us. If anyone is interested I was picked to host a DCL party on the 14th at 7:30. PM me if anyone would like an invite.... All are welcome. ( PS is that ok to say on this thread? Not trying to change the subject or highjack the plans for Sunday...)

Remind me again where you are Ericia?

New England Dis Meets? How did I not know about these? lol. Foxboro and IMAX (if Natick's where you're talking about anyways) would both work for me too if you guys haven't figured out a place yet...I live a short 15 minutes from Foxboro and Natick, right in the middle lol

;) I hope your feeling better.

So I guess the question might now be who can't/won't go to Fitchburg?

We're open to all three (although no one has yet confirmed that we are talking about the Natick IMAX). Although anything before noontime is probably out as tigger813 has stuff to do in the morning. Not sure what is considered "matinee" any more...

I was possibly able to make it to Foxboro for the show depending upon the time. I know I won't be able to go further from home that day due to other events that are taking place that weekend. I wouldn't want anyone making decisions based on me though. So, I am still following along to see what the decision is and if it is a time and location I can work with I will be there. If not, I hope everyone has a great time and I will try to join in the next time there is a meet.

We're open for any of the locations being bandied about, but time is a factor for us, unless I can re-arrange some things (maybe!). Have we decided on either?

{snicker!} I test-drove the movie today!

I can't wait to see it again with all my friends!

I voted !! I'll know better, by mid-week, if I have a conflict. I hope not. If I do I'll have to pull a Mindy :rolleyes1

Okay, folks, since I've previewed the movie for you all, and feel especially qualified to say this...

I would advise parents of children under, oh say, the age of 9, to preview the movie for their kids. I have seen a LOT of reviews of parents on FB that are appalled that Disney did not sweeten Dickens' very dark and frightening story to appeal to young children. This is NOT Mickey Mouse's Christmas Carol!

I'm even talking to those parents who saw the preview. The preview does NOT do justice to the dark and spooky moments...these are very true to the "spirit" of the novel, in which the ghosts try to scare Scrooge into mending his ways. 3-D makes the whole thing that much more intense.

Only you know how your children react to scary things. I am advising caution.

I love being frightened, and adored this movie, and will go to see it over and over, and I will get the home version!
