Thought I'd share some pic's from our little jaunt to the aquarium last week. Lighting is not very good at all for picture taking inside. I really didn't want to use the flash so I mostly went with my 50mm f/1.8 and 70-300mm VR lenses at ISO 1600. I did take a few before we left with the 18-70 and flash. The kids really enjoyed the Penquins and the BIG fish in the tank. Oh yeah and the Harbor Seals outside were great too.

Enjoy. Thanks for looking.

Great pics!! I haven't been to the New England aquarium in years, your post makes me want to get there for another visit.:)

Kyle,
Just want to let you know how much I enjoy your pictures, you put a new angle at all the local places. Although I live in Boston and have been to many of the places you photographed..Fenway, Lexington Green, NE Aquarium, Your "lens" makes them so much more beautiful!:thumbsup2

Sue

BTW, I love pictures of your children too, you've captured very beautiful moments.

Thats a very nice thing to say. Thank you very much Sue. I'm glad that you enjoy looking at the photos. :)

Those are nice, Kyle. My DS will enjoy seeing them, we were supposed to go last Sunday but never made it. Did you do IMAX or just the aquarium? Did you eat somewhere locally? We like to head over to the North End to walk around and grab a bite.

nice photos! esp. like the turtle..was that with the 50mm?( downloaded that program that's supposed to tell you that info but it doesn't seem to want to work for me..must be a software conspiriacy, can't be i don't know what i 'm doing;) )

We just did the aquarium. The kids are a little small for IMAX movies right now. DW and I will go to Jordan's in Reading if we want to see an IMAX movie. We brought a few sandwiches and ate them at the cafe at the aquarium. Though I do love eating in that area. Inside Quincy Market is the Boston Chowda Co. They have THE BEST CLAM CHOWDA and they serve it in eatable bread bowls!! YUUUUMMMMMMMYYYYYYY. The Chart House on Long Warf has some good food. I've eaten many times over at Joe's American Bar and Grill. Its been a while since I've been in the North End.

Thants Jann,,, yep the turtle pic was with the 50mm at f/3.5, 1/50th, ISO 1600. If its ViewEXIF, after you download you have to load it (I believe its a camera icon that you click for it to load on your computer) . Then it shows up when you right click on a picture. Its an option above properties "view EXIF".

Don't Forget Regina'a Pizza in there also it is great. The aquarium rocks we bought a family membership there last year.
