new EMH practices

This change had been close to 1 month now. How is it working? Would be interested in reading reports, and how you noticed what different ways Disney guests handled or carried their keys to the world.

I was there in September and the change was going slow. People were forgetting to get them out before they got to the line. It was kind of frustrating, especially on an ECV, I couldn't drive and take my card out so inevitably I'd end up holding up the line trying to get it back in the holder. It was a pain.

We, too, thought it was a horrible idea. Our first experience with the policy in September was not as bad for the guests, but truly horrible for the CM's at times. For us, instead of lifting up our wrists to show our bands, we just had to show our cards. For the CM's, they needed to check each card and accept the wrath of someone without a card. Overall, we were annoyed with the change, until . . .

We were chatting with a CM, who happened to be a supervisor. When we talked about the new policy, he told us that an internal memo said that this change would save over $750,000 a year. With all the threats of cutting shows and services or raising prices, IMHO, I would rather deal with the new EMH policy.

We were there last week and never asked to show a card. I wondered about how they knew who was supposed to be there and not. I guess that they just didn't
