Where can you find a list of what's going to be pulled shortly? We just decided to start collecting the DVDs when we went through my daughter's video collection and found some tapes ruined or missing. At $20 a pop, I can't go buy everything out right now. So I wanted to see if you incredibly knowledgable people would know which are in jeopardy of vanishing.

Robin Hood
Fox and Hound
Great Mouse Detective
Rescuers Down Under

These are all on sale online Disney Store for $14.99 and I understand these are the ones to be retired soon. I think a few of the original ones have already been retired like Lion King 2 Simba's pride and the Little Mermaid but not sure. I am sure you can still find them at some DS usually take a while for them to completely disappear.

Disregard my previous post I did some more research so I would know what I was talking about...HEHE

My understanding, from talking to the manager at our local DS is that if they have any copies of "retired" movies left after the retirement date, TDS has to send them back. But other stores, other than TDS, can keep them on their shelves until they are all gone. So even after they are "gone" you may be able to find them somewhere.

reeddi, might I suggest you join the Disney Movie Club? When you sign up, you are allowed to choose 3 DVD's or VHS's for FREE! All you have to do is agree to buy 6 more videos within the next year. I'm a member of this club and it's well worth it. If you were to join, and buy one of the titles Figgy mentioned you could get all four of the movies Figgy mentioned for the price of just one!

Try the above site. It is kept up to date and has a lot of information specifically in regards to Disney DVD. When we bought a DVD player last year I purchased the Animated Anthology which contains the first 9 Disney DVD's which are all out of print. It was a good way to get started. Below is a link to one of these sets for sale on ebay ***link to ebay auction removed per DIS board rules. This one is at 329.00 with no bids which is way to high. I would think if you watch you could buy it somewhere for under 200.00.
