Ok I have 200 points - October use year at SSR - and wanted to know about my membership card. Will I receive it before October and will I be eligible for discounts before october under DVC?

We are going in August - not staying DVC since my points are not available till Oct - and just wanted to plan appropriately.

You could always borrow your points if you wanted to use them before October. You should receive your membership card fairly soon. They don't wait for your first use year to kick in before sending it out. You will be okay to use the card unless the discount is only for members staying on points.

The permanent membership cards are normally mailed shortly after the closing occurs. SSR closings will happen in stages--just a couple of weeks before the Occupancy Date of they building you own.

In the meantime you should have received a temporary ID card with the paperwork from DVC. I'd suggest keeping that card with you on your trip. It should be just as effective as the permanent embossed ID.
