It all depends. Smaller boutique properties that have really unique theming and built into the parks… could be a nice offering.Yes, I think Disney has signaled that they are planning on expanding on the west coast. They seem committed to Disney FWD and growing out DVC out west.
I'm skeptical that it will be as successful as Florida, but we shall see.
From the sound of it it’s a place for anyone to learn about dvc and not a lounge. I personally would love a lounge at dca or something similar to Magic Key Terrace.I just don't know how much DVC they can really have out west with such limited space. I'm excited to watch it all play out.
Is the Welcome Home Center just going to be a sales type thing or is it going to be a lounge for direct members?
Lame. I was hoping for it to be a lounge as well. From the sound of it it’s a place for anyone to learn about dvc and not a lounge. I personally would love a lounge at dca or something similar to Magic Key Terrace.

Man, y’all are so spoiled! At WDW we have the one pitiful tiny lounge in Epcot, no where else, and you want two lounges a fifteen minute walk apart?!Lame. I was hoping for it to be a lounge as well.
LOL! I want one in EVERY US based park. I'm not spoiled, just greedyMan, y’all are so spoiled! At WDW we have the one pitiful tiny lounge in Epcot, no where else, and you want two lounges a fifteen minute walk apart?!![]()

I actually look at it as a positive. For too many years, Anaheim has been DVC's redheaded stepchild. What few kiosks that did exist were never manned, and VGC was considered more of a novelty than anything else. Hopefully, with the opening of VDH, the new Starlight Lounge, and this new preview center, (and the complete renovation of DVC's offices in the building formerly known as "BOB" behind the DLH Frontier Tower) there will be greater engagement by DVC across the board, including providing a higher level of service to existing members out here on the "Left Coast".Lame. I was hoping for it to be a lounge as well.
One of the dvc CMs I spoke with last week at WDW mentioned possible plans mentioned at their big meeting to add on dvc lounges at the other parks. Of course, he might be as knowledgeable as a bus driver.Man, y’all are so spoiled!
