We got back from a week at BWV 2 weeks ago. We always try to visit our guide and attend the Member updates. It was mentioned that they will be opening a new preview center at SS. No time frame was given and they couldn't say whether the current one at BW would be closed.
The guides are taking requests for add ons. My guide said that they are coming through due to Disney's exercising ROFR. We asked to be put on the waiting list for more points at OKW.
One of the CMs at the preview center (not a guide) was talking with us about Commodore House and the ice cream sundaes. We had a lovely time recalling our first guide and our experience buying DVC.
Missing OKW!:(

Thanks for the info. We too tried to visit at BWV but got there a bit late and the center was closed (maybe they knew we were coming...) I spoke to our guide on the phone and she said they are excited about the progress of Saratoga Springs. When we rode the ferry from OKW, the driver pointed out all the construction of the new resort, but that was literally all you could see -- lots of workers moving lots of equipment. I couldn't see any building to speak of.

I can't wait to check out a new DVC resort!

I bet they close the BW preview center/offices. They could turn that into a store or a restaurant, plus add rooms on the inside. It would make more sense to go to SS to preview, that way you could see the entire resort. Most people were already familiar with Wilderness Lodge or Beach Club.

I wonder if more points for the BWV's would become available if they closed the BWV preview center? They use a lot of rooms there that could be added to inventory.

i remember the Commodore House and the Ice cream palor. We still have the family picture they took with the balloon in the background. Wow 1994, time flies!

when they closed the sale office at OKW they definitely make them into villa - so I would expect the same at BWV. and since they already have villa at BCV that are on the street (so to speak) that shouldn't be a problem at BWV.

Makes sense to me that they would convert the models that are appointed as BCV and WL models into inventory available for sale. How many points would each 2 bedroom unit make available for sale I wonder?
