New DVC Member

Just got back from WDW, and also joined DVC while we were there!.

We took 400 points for a February use year, SSR being the home base.

OK, now I have some questions, since I'm one of the people that didn't frequent this board until AFTER I joined DVC:

1. How long after I put down my down payment will I hear from DVC regarding paying off the balance? I understand I have 30 days to either pay it in full or get into a payment plan of some sort.

2. Where's the thread with all these acronyms? (Is there even a thread?)

Which acromyms are you interested in?

You should be getting paper work from DVC in about 2 weeks. I think that was about how long it took for us.

Actually, almost every thread has at least some acronyms. Even this one. you used WDW,DVC and SSR.

Your most 'common' DVC related acronyms are:
OKW old key west
BWV boardwalk villas
VWL villas at wilderness lodge
BCV Beach club villas
HH hilton head
VB Vero Beach
SSR(&S) You better know this one by now.
ROFR (right of first refusal)
MOV (or VMO) Mars Outpost Villas (Villas at Outpost Mars).
EP eagle pines..a back burnered DVC resort.

DH = Disney Husband
DW = Disney Wife
DS = Disney Son
DD = Disney Daughter

and of course
