Last summer I asked a cast member at Member Services whether we would receive a new dream book. He said that they will be sent out in February, but he also didn't seem too certain about his answer. So I guess we will wait and see.
Never have even seen a Dream Book. We didn't tour and purchased via phone. We purchased in May 2009 and have received two Vacation Planners. The second one arrived with the 2010 point charts tucked in the back like an afterthought.
Hardcover Dreambooks aren't sent out to existing members just Planners now.
iirc Dreambooks may still be given to first time tour takers or with request for DVC dvd/info. My bro & his family were given one onsite when they toured SSR in 2007.
I wish they'd just stick to keeping the website updated properly and on-time. Maybe save the money on producing and mailing the planners and give us a few token fast passes instead.
I realize there are still a few "unconnected" members out there. They should go into a special group of people that need updates to their existing charts/books & rules. Not producing entirely new books.

Agreed. I have to admit when we first bought the vacation planner just made it more exciting. However, since then we use the website or Apps on our Itouch or downloads to our laptops to plan our vacations. We haven't looked at the most recent planner since we got it.
I'd love getting some fast passes. Been thinking of taking a tour just to get some when we are at WDW in March. But somehow that seems wrong when we won't be buying more points during that trip.
I wish they still had the old looseleaf binder like we had when we bought OKW in 1997. You just pulled out the old pages and installed the new ones. A whole lot cheaper for members. Remember, we're paying for these new books.
Oh I am connected, in fact just used the website to print off the new 2011 point charts to plan for a 12 day trip in November. But being a visual person I like to look at the new dreambook/vacation planner so I can dream about buying some more points. After all I wouldn't want the "taste" of the kool aid to become stale or old.
Oh and for those of you that wondered I haven't had a hard copy "dream book" since I joined but the soft copy book serves the purpose just as well. This way I don't have to keep a loose leaf notebook that the pages rip out of and for me the books are great selling instruments.

I received a hardcover book during a 2007 sales pitch, but did not buy.
I took another look last month, and the new dream book is a softcover.
This is a digital version of the dreambook
