New Downtown Restaurant

Hi there,

I have a couple of questions that I am hoping someone out there can answer!! My first one is - I have read on All Ears about the new TRex restaurant opening at Downtown. I rang Disney and they gave me the website and told me it was due to open soon. Does anyone out there have a phone number for this restaurant as I can't seem to find one. Also, does anybody know whether it is even open yet?

My second question is, I have made all my dining reservations (apart from the one above) but I would also really love to book a character breakfast at one of the parks, can anybody suggest a breaksfast that they have done and really enjoyed? I don't have little ones am just a big kid at heart

The new T-Rex restaurant isn't due to open until October 14th. I can't find a phone number for it, though, I'm afraid.

As far as a character breakfast, we love the Crystal Palace breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends. The puffed french toast there is amazing It's great if you can get an early ADR (around 8am) on a normal 9am park opening day so you can gain etnry to Magic Kingdom before the crowds. Excellent castle photo opportunities.

We've just come back from WDW and we were fascinated by the progress of the T-rex cafe every time we visited DTD. There seemed to be a bit more of the dinosaur skeleton every time we looked! They were making good progress on it and the theming (as ever with Disney) looked amazing!

We were sorry it wasn't open when we were there!

No it's not, I got the date from the latest news section here on the DIS. There are no details at all on their web site, it just says Orlando location coming soon (or words to that effect)

It's located just the past the McDonald's in the Marketplace area.

Chef Mickeys we just did last week and love it. It's not in the park but it's sure worth doing in my opinion.
