I adopted two boxers age 4.5 and 6.5.
I work all day from 6:30 - 4:00
I allow them in most of the house.
There is a dog door into the garage and the side door is open so they can go into the yard.
Most of the time they are good and use the side yard to go potty.
Both are males but one of them often squats when he pees. He does this about 50% of the time in the middle of the garage.
I am also finding some pee on the corner of the couch and bar but this means a leg was lifted. I have cleaned these up and used an odor neutralizer.
I try not to let them see me cleaning up any of their messes.
Does anyone have training ideas to stop them from doing this?
Thanks.

When you say "most of the time they are good" and use the yard, it indicates to me that they've never actually been housebroken.

Probably the best solution at this age is to crate them and have somebody come in mid-day and let them out -- really work on the housebreaking while you're home nights and weekends (and maybe on vacation) and eventually they should learn. Then you can taper back the crate time and maybe get to the point where they're crated in the morning unti the dog walker comes, then left out after the dog walker leaves. At a minimum I'd seriously restrict their freedom within the house when unsupervised.

Do you know about their background? Is this new behavior?

You should also have them tested for UTIs.

I don't know anything about their background. I adopted them form the humane society and all they said was they came from a couple that is divorcing.
I have had them for 12 days. I did buy crates for them and they easily get in them in the back of the car. i will try working on the crating them for the morning idea.
Thanks for the advice and I will talk to the vet about the issue as well.
